Adding a Youtube Video to a dashboard – no code required
A great way to train employees on a process is with videos. They provide audiovisual instructions for better understanding, and are the perfect way to show the entire process done perfectly, with no errors or interruptions. However, we can only learn so much by watching a video a single time, and even when going straight from watching to practicing, replicating a process the first few times can be somewhat bumpy.
You can smooth that by providing an easy way for your team to consult that video straight from the process. We’ll teach you how to integrate a Youtube video to a dashboard so they can check the next steps when in doubt.

2 Steps to Add a Youtube Video to a dashboard – no code required
1. Create an embeddable HTML code for the video.
Go to the video you wish to integrate to your dashboard. Now, click on Share just below the video itself, then click on Embed. This should provide you with an HTML code for the doc.
Tip: you can even choose a starting point for the video. Using this can ensure your team will see the correct portion of the video as soon as they hit play!
2. Create an app to see the video.
- Embedded: click on the + icon, then Embedded. Name it “Video”, then paste the code you got in step one.
Resize the component to your liking and save.
And there you go! You can embed public videos if they’re helpful to you, as well as instructional videos from your own company for specific processes. Should they ever need any help, all they have to do is hit play, accelerating training time and leaving less room for human error. Not only that, but you can always just integrate a cool video or song and have fun with it too ;)
